One of Memphis’ most valuable properties is set for a six-figure addition.

Memphis Oaks III, which received the No. 14 appraised value in Shelby County’s recent commercial property reappraisal, will soon be receiving a $600,000 addition, according to a recent building permit.

The tenant tied to the addition is TJX Companies, Inc., the parent company for TJ Maxx and Marshalls. TJX representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The Portland Timbers plan to spend $50 million to add 4,000 seats at Providence Park by 2020.

Two 23-year-old entrepreneurs are working to revive a pair of Union Avenue buildings in Midtown.

Cousins Mohommed A. Kahok and Mohammad J. Kahok recently signed a lease to reopen the 1708 Union Ave. TCBY that closed in December, and they are in negotiations to purchase and renovate a 9,500-square-foot retail building located at 1622 Union Ave.
